Faribault Bowling Observer- The Finish Line approaches

If there is a complaint from some league bowlers, it's that the season tends to run long. Reasons for season length vary by league. Some years leagues will get hit with the holidays falling on their night to bowl causing a two plus week hiatus. Wednesday Night Mixed opted for a 28 week season in spite of a curmudgeon mentioning that last season on the first two weeks after the season ended, it snowed. I talked to another seasoned bowler who agreed with me though that it's tough to go inside and bowl when you would otherwise may be grilling out. And within that the concentration level and average tend to dip.

Anyways, I hope everyone enjoyed a nice Easter with family enjoying the day (sounds like Bashers had a nice turnout for their Easter Brunch), or in my case Casey's Pizza and Gatorade sitting in the recliner watching bowling and hockey on TV.

On to the leagues and Three Stars of the Week.....

Notes:

For those reading from Citizens of Faribault that only read this to get the latest dirt, there isn't any, sorry. Bashers is open, get out from your keyboards and come out and enjoy some dinner.

I attended the Bowling Board meeting last Thursday night at Bashers. Items of note include looking for a title sponsor for the City Bowling Tournament next season in hopes of boosting the prize payouts. If you're looking for a way to get your business's name out there, look into it.   A Faribault Bowling Hall of Fame was once again discussed with the thoughts of appointing a committe and establishing a criteria for induction.

Don't forget there's still two big bowling events coming up in April with Moonlight Bowling returning for likely the last time this Spring on April 22nd with Bowl for Kids Sake on the following Friday the 28th.
