I ran across this a few months ago as this blog was in its infant stage. I've been holding on to it for a while, and thought this week would be a good time to talk about it. The PBA is holding what amounts to an open invitational for bowlers of all skill levels, regardless if your bowling center is registered with the PBA or not.
The thing that caught my eye was the location, suburban Milwaukee, and the dates, June 3rd-July 16th. This is a great time of the year to be out in Milwaukee. Baseball season is in full force with the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association (name drop me if you wish), and the 55th annual Summerfest going on near Lake Michigan (Link).
Then of course there are the breweries with their famous tours. Miller Brewing is still stuck in 2020 and doesn't offer tours, but the most fun you can have touring a brewery happens at Lakefront Brewery just north of downtown Milwaukee. (Link)
There is also the Milwaukee Zoo and if you want to back track right after bowling, Wisconsin Dells is only 1.5 hours away.
Only five hours away, Milwaukee has always been one of my favorite road trips, I highly recommend it.
Onto the bowling and the Three Stars....
